Bluebird Hotel (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through bluebirdhotel.ca and how we use and protect it, in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

  • Booking details: your name, email address, phone number (optional), stay dates, number of guests and any special requests.
  • Payment guarantee: if you choose to guarantee your booking with a credit card, the card type, cardholder name, card number and expiry date. We never ask for your card security code (CVV).
  • PayPal payments: if you pay with PayPal, PayPal processes your payment and shares a transaction reference with us. We do not receive your PayPal password or card details.
  • Technical data: your IP address and browser information, used to protect the website against abuse.

How we use it

We use your information only to manage your reservation, contact you about your stay, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and prevent fraud. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

How we protect card details

Card numbers are encrypted before they are stored and can be viewed only by authorised hotel managers, with every view logged. Card numbers are permanently deleted 30 days after check-out (or after a booking is cancelled), keeping only the card type and last four digits for our records. Card numbers are never included in emails.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website: our web hosting company, an email delivery service to send booking confirmations, and PayPal for online payments. They may process your information only on our behalf.

How long we keep information

Booking records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally up to seven years). Card numbers are deleted as described above.
